Auto Repair in Poway

I just got my smog check here and it was a great experience. My car was done in less than 20 minutes (it was Thursday morning). Service was great, courteous and friendly. I will definitely return for any repairs I may need in the future.

I recently moved into the area in used Yelp to locate repair shops for my work van. I liked what I read, so I called them up and the owner, Dirk answered the phone. I told him I use my van for a living and needed it back as soon as possible. He instructed me to bring it in as soon as possible and they would get it back to me right away. I was able to drop it off by 2 p.m., it was the water pump, they were to depart and headed to me by early the next morning! I highly recommend this shop.

Althiugh we had to wait a bit to get anyone's attention, our time at Poway's Accurate Automotive was completely worth it. My boyfriend brought his car in because he felt that his alignment was off since his steering wheel would vibrate severely at high speeds. After a few quick questions, Brian immediately told us that his tires most likely needed a balance, rather than an alignment. We got an alignment anyway, since the car did need some adjustments, but booked immediately another appointment elsewhere to get the balancing done (they don't do balancing at Accurate Automative). I loved that he was honest and would rather not have our business than waste our time. Two thumbs up for these guys!

I came in for a smog check. There was an ad in the paper for a $30 smog check with certificate included. I did not make an appointment, but the total time there was less than 30 minutes. The man who helped me was courteous and genuinely wanted to help out the customers take good care of their cars. I would come back.

I had the same experience as Bobby D....Poway Accurate Automotive was great and Edith at Poway Smog was a complete liar and totally bashed PAA so she could charge $46 instead of $30 at PAA. Brian and Team at PAA were great..fast and did a complete smog test as quoted for $30.

Stopped in for a smog. Pleasantly surprised. Fast and great price. Got me in and out super quick! No appointment either. Highly recommend! Thank you for making this painless !

These guys are great. I have had several cars repaired here and they have been professional and very fairly priced. Brian is always willing to accommodate and help with a good solution for you. They are not trying to up sell you or get you to do unanticipated work. Give them a shot, you won't be disappointed.

In the North County, specifically the 4S, Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Rancho Penasquitos, Del Sur, and Scripps Ranch areas, Poway Accurate Automotive (PAA) should be your go to place for anything smog related. Bryan the owner and his business stands for integrity and professionalism. Other smog places like Poway Smog not so much. I've had both my cars serviced for a smog check and both times, I was treated courteously and was provided exemplary customer service. Allow me to relay a story of today's experience with Edith from Poway Smog. With my Pennysaver coupon that gave me a discounted price of $30, I proceeded to search for PAA, but because it had been a little time since my last visit, I had forgotten where they were located. Thinking I had found the place, I parked in front of a smog place, but there was no PAA signage. As I parked, a lady, who I found out was named Edith, came out the door and motioned me into an open bay of the business. I asked Edith if her business was Poway Accurate Automotive and she replied it wasn't. Edith stated, "We take business from them all the time." I asked Edith if she honors competitor's coupons to which she said "No", but that she would give me a good price. She even said that PAA doesn't really charge $30 and I replied that I've used this same coupon with PAA in the past. She told me that she charges $48, so I said "No thanks" and quickly exited her business to find PAA. I have zero tolerance for people with no integrity and you should too. PAA is one driveway before Poway Smog and they are locates next to a U-Haul business. PAA's tagline is "We are honest, have integrity and will do only necessary repairs." Talk to Bryan or his father, who are respectful and seem like good guys. I personally can attest that these guys have strong integrity. Edith from Poway Smog, shame on you for bad mouthing an honest business trying to make an honest buck.
