I needed a STAR smog check and found a discount coupon on their Web page. Brought in the car and was told they would have it done in 15 minutes. "Sure," I thought to myself. "And I'm the Queen of Sheba." Well, ten minutes later I was out of there. I'll never doubt them again. "Under promise - over perform." Bring your business here.

Smog Check + Repair Review Poway's Precision Automotive and Poway's Accurate Automotive are sister locations with the same owner. I found these locations on Yelp, and both locations have 4+/5 ratings, so I thought it would be a great place to get my smog done. Great deal because for newer cars, $30 OTD for a smog is. Since my car is an older car, smog is $40 OTD. Other places run $50+. Keep in mind both these locations are full repair. If it fails like mine did, repair has to be done on location to qualify for free retest. Wasn't a big deal for me because the repair experience was wonderful. My car failed smog check at Precision Auto. Brought the car into Accurate Automotive for diagnosis and they determined it was a cracked manifold and clogged EGR passages. The office manager at Precision Auto (Jay) was very understanding of my situation and gave me a fair price for the repair. Appreciate both Jay and Dirk (the owner) working with me on getting this issue resolved in a professional manner. Word of advice: this location gets very busy, especially on a holiday when I went in to get the smog work done. Call ahead and schedule an appointment. You will be glad you did.

I needed a smog check. They had an awesome coupon deal, got me in the same day and had the car tested and done in about 25 minutes. Best experience ever. I will be be using them again.

I came to Poway's Accurate Automotive after a friend recommended them. I was told that I needed to replace my entire ac system by another shop and could not afford the repair. Brian and the crew here looked at my truck and diagnosed a small hose that was leaking. They replaced the $20 part and re-charged my system and it has never worked so well. They saved me a ton of money and had my truck done in an afternoon. After this experience I will not be taking my truck anywhere else as they have proven themselves as an honest and trustworthy shop.

I was due for a smog check and came across their business advertisement in our local mailer. They had a coupon for a smog check for $21.75 + $8.25 for a certificate. They also had a deal for an oil change for $19.95 and figured since I would be there already, maybe they'll give me both deals. I was able to get an appointment for both services on the same day and was given both deals. They estimated that my car would be ready in 60 - 75 minutes and it was ready in 40 minutes!

Smog Check review only. I found this place when i was looking on line for a decently priced smoke check station in Poway/RB area. I've called around bunch of different shops and couldn't find the deal less then $50 (with certificate). Precision Automotive only charges around $22 (get coupon on their site) for a check and $8 for a certificate, so you pay 30 bucks out the door. Its a very fair price. I will definitely recommend everyone to get it there, i made an appointment and was out in 15 minutes. Quick service and affordable prices!

In the last month I have had to take my suburban in twice. Brian is the best! Very honest & I was in & out in a timely manner. I will always be a loyal customer to Poway Accurate Automotive.

I have been a customer here for over 3 years and have had 2 cars serviced here consistently. From oil changes to major repairs, I have always been completely pleased with the service and treatment from this business. They always do exactly what they claim and more when they can. Their prices are always fair and reasonable and I can not imagine anyone having a negative experience here. They are so accommodating with a busy schedule and so I can only assume that everyone else that is happily content with their service just doesn't have time to come on here and sing their praises. Great place to take your car!

Swift and courteous service on a holiday weekend!

My husband just bought a car that needed a smog certificate and didn't have an appointment. Since he was in the area, he stopped in to Poway's Precision Automotive as that's where we usually have our cars smogged. He was thrilled that they could get his car in right away. These guys are great. He was in and out in a short amount of time and they did a great job, as always. We won't get anywhere else to get our smog certificates, and will always recommend them highly.
